Grandma’s red cabbage
Ingredients
- Big head of red cabbage
- 6 apples, skinned and cored
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup crisco
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp caraway seed
Directions
- Run cabbage and apples thru food processor w/ shredding disk (or chop finely, but is time-consuming)
- Cook on low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally and monitoring liquid levels
